This is where she found her Divine Destiny…

Small town café owner, Avery McClain, created a safe world. Her best friend and protector added to that comfort. So how did it all fall apart in 48 hours?

A mysterious stranger is the key. She’s helpless against his charms and the magnetism of his body.

But can she risk her vulnerable heart to a man who demands every piece of her?

Ryse Castille is much more than your average bounty hunter. He’s a son of the gods and his prey isn’t quite human either.

An Olympian serial killer has Avery in his sights and Ryse has to find him before he succeeds.

Torn between duty and desire, he does whatever it takes to earn her trust and complete his mission.

When the power of Ryse’s presence brings out Avery’s true identity he must act quick before they all go up in flames.

Review:

I really enjoyed learning the backstory of Ryse and Avery in this prequel. If you wanted to know Avery’s tragic past and how she overcame her obstacles and met Ryse, then look no further.

This book was action packed with drama, romance, and tragedy as Avery says goodbye to her old life. Love these characters!!!!! I can’t seem to get enough…

R. S. Guthrie

Guthrie writes ambitious novels that successfully combine a western murder mystery with a deep human tragedy.

R.S. Guthrie grew up in Iowa and Wyoming. He has been writing fiction, essays, short stories, and lyrics since college.

Black Beast: A Clan of MacAulay Novel marked Guthrie’s first major release and it heralded the first in a series of Detective Bobby Macaulay (Bobby Mac) books. The second in the series, Lost, hit the Kindle shelves December of 2011. Reckoning closes out the series. For now…

Guthrie’s Blood Land is the first in the Sheriff James Pruett Mystery/Thriller series and represents a project that is close to his heart: it is set in a fictional town in the same county where he spent much of his childhood and still lives.

The sequel, Money Land, hit the shelves Christmas Day, 2012. Honor Land, the third novel in the bestselling James Pruett Mystery/Thriller series.

As one reviewer said of the James Pruett series: They are ambitious novels that successfully combine a western murder mystery with a deep human tragedy.

Guthrie has taken on alcoholism, family estrangement, racism, government corruption, big money, the oil industry and unconstrained greed.

He successfully portrayed the character of the independent Wyoming spirit and even managed to evoke old-time Western movies and the very real, if poorly understood Johnson County War.
