Venture Galleries and its book imprint Gallivant Press pay royalties to authors and does not require any financial participation by the author for creating, developing, promoting, and marketing fiction and non-fiction books in an eBook format.

We are accepting most fiction genres for adults and young adults – including mystery, thriller, suspense, supernatural, science fiction, fantasy, romance, romance intrigue, or dark romance. Sports books can be either fiction or non-fiction, for adults or young adults, with particular emphasis on mysteries with a college football backdrop. We are looking for books that are well-written, have strong and memorable characters, and tell a great story. We are looking for books set in the United States even though back stories and some scenes may require foreign locales.

If your book is accepted by Venture Galleries and Gallivant Press, the publisher will produce an eBook format of your work with converted files formatted to fit the specifications of all major online eBook reader devices, including Kindle, Nook, iPads, Sony eReader, Iphone, iTunes and Ibooks. The books will be publicized, marketed, promoted, and sold on the publisher’s Website, as well as on the sites of such major eBook retailers as amazon.com, barnesandnoble.com, Apple’s iBookstore, Sony’s Reader Store, Kobo, Diesel eBook Store, and the Google editions.

All submissions must be submitted electronically:

1. Authors must submit a one-page query.
2. Authors must submit a one-page synopsis.
3. Authors must submit the first chapter and the last chapter.

If the author is asked to submit the entire manuscript, please use the following guidelines.

1. Do not submit handwritten material.
2. Manuscripts must be in Word.doc format.
3. Manuscripts must be double-spaced with one-inch margins.
4. Use only one side of the page.
5. The average length of a book should be 60,000 to 100,000 words.
6. If the manuscript is accepted, publisher will send the author a contract.
7. Once the contract is signed and returned to Venture Galleries and Gallivant Press, the publisher will begin formatting the book for e-book conversion.
8. Once the eBook conversion is complete, Publisher will immediately distribute the eBook to all major online eBook retailers. The e-Book will be available for sale on the sites of these eBook retailers and on Publisher’s online bookstore as soon as the retailers post the eBooks. Publisher anticipates the e-Book will be available for sale within approximately three weeks from the date the eBook conversion formatting is completed.
