Here’s what readers are buzzing about:

Football, murder, greed, corruption, revenge, religion, sex—just a typical Saturday afternoon in the SEC.

When an assassin guns down leading Heisman contender, Eliab McDermott, during the Iron Bowl game in Auburn, Alabama, a team of investigators, led by legendary Nashville PD detective Shot Glass Reynolds, sets out to crack the case.

Murder follows murder while the officers attempt to unravel a thread of deceit that stretches across three generations. As they get closer to the truth, they learn that their investigation threatens to expose a cover up at the highest level of collegiate football.

And they learn that although blood may be thicker than water, money is thicker than blood.

MURDER IN THE SEC: MONEY IS THICKER THAN BLOOD, Stephen Woodfin’s fifth novel and his first in a series of murder mysteries about major collegiate football conferences, in its first week on the Kindle bookstore shot into the top 20 on the regional travel bestseller list.

Woodfin’s previous works include the Revelation Trilogy (LAST ONE CHOSEN, NEXT BEST HOPE AND THE REVELATION EFFECT) and THE SICKLE’S COMPASS: A STORY OF LOVE, WAR AND ALZHEIMER’S. He is currently at work on his second major collegiate football conference murder mystery that has something to do with Aggies, Bears, Longhorns, and Cajun Tigers.

Woodfin has practiced law for over twenty-five years and continues to handle cases. He also holds a Master of Divinity degree from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, in Wake Forest, North Carolina. He has on occasion told juries that he attended seminary to get the Lord on his side and law school to recruit the Devil’s assistance.

He resides in Kilgore, Texas, with Paige Woodfin, his wife of twenty-five years. Woodfin has three daughters.
